Blue Flames in the Distance

Dear Kemal, Have you seen the blue flames in the distance? As Overseer, I know you have other duties to attend to, but I find their unnatural beauty equal parts eerie and captivating. Since nothing in this strange place seems to be benign, I fear dangers they may portend. I am putting together an expedition to the ruins of Canopus to the east, in the hope I might divine their origins. It is my wish that you will sanction our journey, and offer what assistance you can.
